First Bridal Session

This weekend we had the pleasure of capturing Jim and Nicki before the upcoming wedding. We will also cover the wedding in October but the bride decided it would be less stress to do a bridal session beforehand. We agree. The dress was a photographers dream and the bride of course was goregous. Look for more pictures to come!

Brother and Sister...

We have been on vacation for a few days so I have been behind on editing. Before we left, I had a brother and sister session. Kara and Matt haven't had portraits taken since they were children. Matt will be moving to Texas soon and Kara decided this was the time to capture them having fun. These were taken in downtown Birmingham, a new location for me. They were a crazy pair and were willing to have some fun. We had a great session!

It is soooo hard to pick!

It is so hard to pick just a few of my favorites from this week. I have completed this session so this will be the last from this family. Anyone care to tell me what they think? I know people are looking...lol. There are a few from this session that are my all time favorites. I see my photo style going to more photojounalistic than posed portraits.

A few from today...

I had the best session today. The family is good friends of ours so it was a day of playing in the park instead of just a session. They are big fans if photojournalistic style photographs so we were able to try some new ideas.

Very sweet family!

Yesterday I had a session with a mother and son. The mom is the sister of the mother and 4 month old a few weeks ago posted here: http://hishandsphotography.blogspot.com/2007/08/cutest-little-4-month-old.html.

What a great thing to photograph two families from the same family. There were talks of an extended family session very soon.

The mother and son were so much fun. The son didn't want to stop taking pictures. I kept asking him if he was a professional model. He certainly knew how to stike a pose!
