Snow!!!
Elijah has his first snow last weekend. These are just family snapshots but I am one proud Mommy and had to share. We had a great time and really enjoyed the white stuff!!
A picture I did not take!

We are very excited to announce an addition to the Ferguson family appearing sometime in September! Many of you know that we were told we would not have children. God has had different plans for us since I am now carrying our second child! We are so grateful.
I can't wait to see the maternity portraits and the newborn portraits to come! We are very blessed.

Quick trip to the beach!
We took a spontaneous trip to the beach this weekend. It was so great to get away. Elijah was in love with sand this time and screamed any time we tried to take him inside. We arrived Saturday just as the sun was setting. This is called the magic hour to photographers because of the beautiful light. The hour did not disappoint us. Look at the beautiful colors! God blessed us with a great getaway. The next morning we were eating breakfast and our view was dolphins jumping in the gulf. It was like a sweet kiss from Heaven.
A wedding... planned in a week!

Ok, this is totally staged. The only reason they are smiling is to laugh at me. haha! Great picture though!
So what does a wedding planned in a week look like? A few days before New Years Eve we received a call needing a photographer for a last minute wedding for the last day of the year. Cory and I already had exciting plans to stay at home and do nothing, so we decided to cancel our nothing plans and have some fun! We had a fantastic night! I think this lovely couple is smart. They only had a week to stress about plans and they pulled off a beautiful ceremony and reception. You would have never thought it was all started a week before.
The bride and groom were so in love. This wedding was a blending of families with the cutest little guy as the best man. He wanted to kiss his mom all night and I have several pictures where he is sneaking a kiss. I am so happy to share a few from the event. We are starting to love weddings! The more we are a part of the more we want to do!

Polar Express 2nd Birthday!
Check out this Hot mama....
We were a part of a birthday party in late December. The guest of honor was turning two and we were excited to be there. The mom is my best friend from high school. I think we met when I was 12, and I don't think I have a friend that I have known longer. Our kiddos are less than a year apart! And if you notice from the last picture, they are expecting another girl in the next few months. The party was great and so much fun. Elijah didn't leave the new train table the birthday girl received except to partake in cake. What kid wouldn't leave for cake?
The last of Christmas, I promise!

Ok, no more Christmas! I just had to share a few more of our incredible holiday. God has blessed us so much with a great family, the best friends anyone could ask for, and clients that keep us doing what we love.
Alright, now let's get back to 2008.... what is God going to do this year??

A young lady and her horse

I showed you a little from our senior session with the storyboard below, but I just can't leave you without seeing more from this super fun session. Cory and I both went on this session so it was like a date for us (yes, we are camera nerds). The young lady was so laid back and willing to try any of the crazy ideas we had. We started the session near her home with her horse. Then we went to Downtown Sylacauga to try for some edgy vintage shots. Then, she asked if we could take some photos of her and her boyfriend who was at another location. Whew, I think we were all tired by the end of the day but the portraits turned out wonderful!
This senior is our first senior but we have a few more on the books now and we look forward to them. Senior sessions are so much fun! This beautiful young woman already has her college picked out and is planning on entering the field of nursing. Congrats to this 2008 senior!
