This family doesn't slow down!

I had a exciting session with a family of three boys a few weeks ago (I am running behind on the blog!). I had to be quick to get these portraits but I really enjoyed getting to know them. I asked the mom if things were always fast in her family and she laughed and said "yes". The best part about this family is the mom and dad just ran with them. We had a session of hide and seek and exploring the woods. It was great! The best part, one brother brought me flowers when I snapped the portrait above. Boys melt my heart!

Sweet Brothers!

This family has the most beautiful eyes! The youngest son is only 8 weeks old and steals my heart away! Big brother was full of energy and so much fun. I asked big brother to look in my lens and tell me what he saw and he commented, "it's a spider-bug!". I had no idea!

Easter Best!

You may notice these beautiful faces from last year. The family signed up for a repeat session from last spring. I love when clients book again because it gives me a chance to see how much they've grown in the last year and I get to hang out with great kids! We booked this session after Easter so their dresses and suit would not get dirty. I think that is a great idea! I am so in love with the close up of the middle daughter. Her expression and the wind blowing her hair just takes my breath away! And check out the new teeth from the oldest son! He was very proud and so am I! How they have grown in just a year!

Cousins!

Check out these beauties! The older girls are sisters and the adorable baby is their cousin. This baby was so full of smiles. The sisters we so sweet with each other. I love the beautiful freckles. Everything just went right on this session and I am in love with the portraits! I did talk the mom of baby into joining in on the fun and I am so glad she did!

5 years old!

This sweet boy can now tell everyone he is a "whole hand" at 5 years old! The family decided to celebrate with birthday with a family session (of course, after his fire truck party!). The weather is so pleasant right now, it is the best time to schedule portraits. We had a blast!

Three Ballerinas!

Once again I can't tell you how much I love my job! I had the opportunity to photograph three ballerinas. Three sisters in one home, there has to be pink EVERYWHERE! These girls were so much fun and laughter was all around. We met at the gardens and the guests were all watching our session and admiring the beautiful girls. Thank you to Grebel Dance (http://www.grebeldance.com/) for providing all of the costumes and giving us the opportunity to play dress up. It was very easy to capture the beauty in these budding ballerinas!

On a side note, a big congrats to Grebel Dance in opening up a larger studio. This means they are now able to offer more classes and variety. They now have two studios in one building. If you are interested in taking dance classes (from beginner to advance) please contact them and tell Debbie and Stevan you heard about them here!

I love my job!

I love my job, Why? Because I am able to meet young ladies like this one! We hear so much on the news about the "bad kids" and nothing about the great teens out there. This is one of those great teens (or preteen, in the case). She is such a light in this world and I consider myself blessed to capture her in print and get to know her better. Her grandmother came along for the session and joined in with some of the portraits. What a beautiful woman, who doesn't believe she is beautiful! She said she has lost over 100 pounds in the last few years and wow, who wouldn't want a grandmother that looks this great!

Thank you both for letting me in on your lives in a little way! I love my job!
